Wassup!? - Friday 10/12/2001 6:21 pm EST

WassssUP everyone?  Oktoberfest is coming up, and yupz, I'm staying down at Toronto cuz I have so much frickin work.  We have to do two stupid things for physics.  Number 1 - we have to measure the height of the physics building, and integrate error analysis to get a somewhat reasonable answer.  So I counted the number of frickin bricks (each were like a meter tall), and it came out to 58 meters - what a frickin waste of time.  Number 2- we have this stupid error analysis assignment.  I've heard it takes 6-8 hours to complete - can anything be more gay??  ERROR ANALYSIS!!!  What a frickin waste of time.  On top of that, I have a physics test, chem lab, chem test and economics assignment to hand in in the coming week-two weeks, so yeah, no oktoberfest for me.  Who would want to go to ghetto waterloo anyways??  Geesh...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... the leafs are 2-1-1-0!!  WHAT THE HELL!?  They have a frickin winning record... how gay.  But don't worry, they'll soon return to their losing ways, just as surely the Earth will continue to revolve around the sun.  Yupz...

Hmz... I have a friend, who wants to remain anonymous at the moment - here's the story.  Some guy calls her to work on math and to talk to her.  Here's what happened:

They are working on math, and all of a sudden:
GUY:  "I have a crush on you"
30 second pause (literally)
GIRL:  "How do you do this math question again?"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... what a shaft... lol =)  Sounds like something from a comedy movie or something... hahahahaha.

Hmz, oh yeah, I was playin euchre, and my partner and I euchred someone who went alone.  Hahahahahaha =)

OMG I Can't Believe It! Stuff to Clarify - Friday 10/12/2001 6:10 pm EST

Remember that girl who came down to my room last time telling me to turn it off. Actually, she didn't tell me to turn it off. I saw her today again and she saw me pumping up DnB... and she asked "is that you with the music?". I said "Yes, sorry would you like me to turn it off?" She said "No no, I love drum and bass".

Anyhow that was the weirdest thing. Apparently she told me she was a huge follower of drum and bass and she goes to London to buy mix tapes. Wow. She said she couldn't believe her ears last time when she heard some hard core drum'n'bass coming out of some guy's room. Weird shit. I don't know how I thought she told me turn off the music, no idea, and apparently she was talking about "the George guy" in the hall was pumping some cool music, lol.  Shit, I need to check up my ears. Damn, I still can't believe it. I guess she was pretty cool, she told me I can borrow some of her CDs and stuff. I was wrong. Sorry about that, that rant below was pointless. 

Time to pump out some HARDCORE drum and bass now. WOOT!

Some people just can't do simple math - Friday 10/12/2001 4:50pm EST

OK... Let me tell you how stupid the bouncer was at Fed Hall last night.

I think everyone knows that I'm born on November 26th 1982, so I'm underage.  Anyhow, this idiot asks me for my WATCARD and my driver's license.  So I was like ok let me in and have my Xs on my hand. However, he looked at me funny, looked back at my license, back at me, back at my license again, for a few cycles, then asked me "Give me your health card too." I was like OK... WTF is wrong with you. He then asked me again for my postal code... I answered, and he let me in. Money cash. That's the 2nd time (out of 4 times) that I got into Fed Hall under age without getting X'd, and I don't even use a fake ID. HAHA. Yeah so I bought myself some booze that night. LOL.

Psyched Out - Thursday 10/11/2001 7:55pm EST

Hmm. Today started off crappy with the SE 101 In Lab Quiz (10% of my final mark). I expected something totally different. My prof told us in class before that the quiz was gonna be short answers and short essay questions. But it turned out to be all multiple choice... I got owned. Even though I don't think I failed on it...I'll give myself an estimated mark of 7-10 out of 14. Yep, gayness. Then I did a normal algebra quiz in which I think I owned. Also it turned out I didn't fail last week's quiz...in fact an 11/14. 

Then... I went to take a psychology test. That was quite an experience.  I get paid $6 to do this test that's for research on human perception. Anyhow, the psychology building is the FREAKIEST building that I've ever been to.  The structure is octogonal and I couldn't even find the stairs.  I finally found the stairs to the 2nd floor only (not to the 4th floor!) I stumbled around for another min and found an elevator... which took me to the 4th floor.  When I got to the 4th floor, there were all these signs saying "Authorized Personnel Only". The whole layout of the building is screwed up. Took me a while to find room 4218. Anyway I did this really trippy and repetitive test for about 45 minutes and I got $6 for it.

Practice Midterm - Wednesday 10/10/2001 10:30pm EST

That was somewhat helpful... 4 questions from each subject.  I think I owned the linear algebra part and screwed up on Calc and gay Discrete Math. Anyhow out of 16 questions I think I got 5 wrong... I think that's OK for a person who didn't prepare for it at all. 

I gotta learn to love Discrete Math and give myself some confidence, but I can't unless I understand everything. Once I'm confident I get 100% in every single test... Ex: OAC Algeo when I got 85% on first 2 tests and then 100%-93% on last 6 tests?? and Finite how I was getting 98.8% going into the exam then jinxed by Placewitz and choked on the exam. LOL, I miss the ez material in high school. DAMN HIGH SCHOOL WAS SO SO SO EZ.

Knobody: No tickets needed as Christine said its a waste of money. I think you all have a place to stay in.

Still Finding Time - Wednesday 10/10/2001 1:45am EST

I feel your pain Backstab.  I kinda cracked tho.  I try to play stuff that I know people won't complain about (too much).  It's not like I play Britney, or Blink... I still play stuff I like, just not as hardcore as usual, just so I can party on and not end up all by myself.  If I listened to all the hardcore rap and reggae that I have on my computer, than I think people would go crazy like, "that girl".  But I totally respect your decision to keep on truckin'  don't give up tha DNB for "that girl" or anybody...  In Backstab's honour my car will be pumping hardcore reggae all the way to Waterloo.  Rock On!

In other news, still mashed up with nostalgia and shit, and am looking forward to drinking with you all this weekend, to drown my sorrows in alcohol.  Good times a gwan come, ya know seh.  Dem tings mek me feel irie.

Back to stats before my bloody midterm tomorrow.  GRRR!  Still finding time to check in tho.  I think I'll make it a habit again.  EY YO!  SOMEBODY ANSWER THE QUESTIONS FROM MY LAST POST!

PLEASE DO NOT PLAY BLINK 182 OR I WILL GO TO YOUR ROOM AND TELL YOU TO TURN THAT SHIT OFF. Anyways, I think I know what you're talking about, I heard someone say "That George guy" 2 days ago. I started listening to U2, they are pretty good afterall. I figured they were crap because I didn't know any of their songs and I like listening to old rock. Anyways, "Barbara Allen" is the most fucked up song on the planet. If I get a copy of it, I'll send it to you all and you can listen to it. I dare someone to listen to it for 2 hours straight, I'll give you a dollar.

People Piss Me Off - Tuesday 10/9/2001 8:45pm EST

I think this is the first time this ever have happened, I knew it was coming, but I didn't think it would've been today.

I was playing some RAM Trilogy in my room, some classic drum and bass, which is quite a pain in the ass if you're not used to it. It's quite repetitive and their bassline is pretty mental, not as painful as Ed Rush & Optical's Wormhole CD, but you get the idea. 

Anyhow I was playing the tune Mind Overload. Ok it might have somewhat of a fucked up bassline (it's nasty), but you can't hear it in the lounge if you're watching TV, plus I wasn't pumping it or anything even if my door is open. Anyway this girl stood outside my door and asked me what CD I was listening to... I just responded "ram trilogy", whatever, she had no fucking clue. She told me to turn that shit off (not the exact wording) because she doesn't like it.

Well I was a bit pissed off, then I heard her talk to some other person about my music and all that and I have no idea what she's up to. All I heard her say something about this 'George guy or whatever' and the word 'music'. I just thought that was pretty lame and disrespectful of her. 

Do I ever go into people's room and tell them to turn off their music?? No. Even if you're listen to stuff that I don't like (ex. punk rock/new school poppish rap/brittnay speers etc), I dont' fucking care, as long as you don't pump it, and I NEVER tell people to tell it off. And for God's sakes, it was 4:15pm in the afternoon from what I recall. 

God people sometimes piss me off. Maybe I should start playing some shitty Bryan Adams or Blink 182 in my room just to please them. Whatever.

Checking In - Tuesday 10/09/2001 12:15am EST

Well it's been a really long time since my last post...Calculus and computers and work, have kept me busy...but I decided to find time to check in with you guys about Oktoberfest.

Ok so what are the plans once we get there?  And there is space for everyone right?

Plans on this side are, we leave around 9:00.  I'm taking, Steph Yau, Randy, person X and Stu.  Full Car!  That's all I know.  Apparently there are tickets I have to buy!?!  Somebody fill me in here...

If we aren't doing anything official for Oktoberfest, I'm totally okay with sitting in somebody's room and getting plastered..."God" knows I need it.  

Ok so normal stuff...sorta...everybody being gone is starting to catch up with me.  I really miss hanging around people that I can't hang around anymore.  I'm glad I get to see waterloo people this weekend, but there are still others I wish I could see...  Barely talked to Sacha, for those of you that know who she is...(umm Randy I guess...) and Chris has obviously not attacked me in months.  I dunno... just feel really crappy all of a sudden...I really need to drink.  Damnit can't wait 'till Friday.  Yo Randy, stuff still happening Thursday????

NFL Weekend Wrapup and Look What I Found - Monday 10/8/01 11:20pm EST

Wow. Another weekend full of upsets.  With Green Bay, San Diego and Philadelphia losing, I totally got owned this week. God if it keeps on going like this, it will get pretty screwed up.  And look what we have now, yet another 3 way tie. LOL. Looks like St. Louis is going to win tonight, the score now is 21-0 as I'm writing this, so I'll probably end up with an 8-7. 
 
Look what I found today. I was so bored that I went on Amazon and found that. So elite. It's cover of the "Book of the Bad" Album by Bad Company aka )EIB( that will include the 3 EPs plus some bonus tracks. It's coming out on November 12th 2001. Damn... can't wait until that thing comes out. That will be so elite. Maybe I should buy the CD this time... but it's only on sale in UK.

OH I hATE THAT SONG BETTER OFF ALONE BY ALICE DEEJAY. SUCH CHEEZINESS, IT SOunDS LIKE A 5 YEAR OLD BANGING ON A CASIO KEYBOARD. It belongs in the shit list.

Back in Ghetto Waterloo - Monday 10/8/01 10:28pm 

I'm back in Waterloo now, talked to Tricia today, she seems to be doing pretty well. Ha ha ha, her university is so ghetto, apparently, her whole floor shares one phone that's located in the hall. Yup, 7 people to 1 phone, 7 people!! And they have dial up internet, so if one person is using the internet, the other 6 can't use the internet or the phone! LoL, that's pretty ghetto alright! Thanksgiving was a blast, good to see all the Toronto people again. Next week is October Fest, found out today that Stew is staying with me, so those of you who were looking to stay in my room, you better find someone else. If you need directions or information, just ask and I'll try to find out as much as I can. Anywho, I have a mid-term tomorrow, so gonna keep this short. Etheral out ->

OMG... No posts yesterday.

I went to Fairview yesterday and did some shopping for clothes. Lucky me I bought myself an Ecko hoody... pretty damn expensive though. I had to buy so many clothes because we used to wear uniforms... blah. I seriously wouldn't mind if we still wear uniforms in university. I can care less, I don't have to think of what clothes to wear the next day.

At night I was at Etheral's and saw Requiem for a Dream. That was a bit disturbing.

Liston, your comp is nice btw. Get Unreal Tournament or something. I'll try to see if my hacked version of CS works and we might be able to start playing again.

Guru Mike has been bitching about how our lives will be over once World of Warcraft comes out. That's true, hopefully by the time it's out I'll be in my work term so I won't run into bandwidth problems with ResNet :P Anyhow... that game looks sick, go to www.blizzard.com for more info.
