Beck Hall
Report
Guru Mike's new shagpad
by Guru Mike
Well I've been promising this
report for along time. What better time to do it then midterm
time? To begin Beck Hall is much nicer then V1 and Wellesy
Court. I haven't seen Mac King, but from what I'm told, Mac
is better. For all you that do not know, I live with Trevis.
We will probably kill each other by the end of the term. So
what can I possibly say about my new living quarters? Nothing!
I'll just give you a brief run through with pictures. I'll
point out interesting things you should note.
Let's begin the photo tour!

This is what Beck Hall looks
like from the outside. Things to take notice, I live on the
9th floor, if you count carefully, there are 12 floor. Liston,
I believe that is suicide suitable. There is a daycare/community
centre on the first floor, so you have to watch the swearing.

Here is the intercom
thingy ma-jig. I specifically pointed out which button is
mine. I never had an intercom in my life before. I don't think
I've even heard the buzzer so far. The question is, why didn't
they have these in V1? I mean, how many times did I have to
bang on Backstab's window? All those morning where I woke
up Dark Ice? None of that now! Hmm I wonder what the buzzer
sounds like

When you go up the elevator
and push the button that says 8/9, it takes you here. The
first thing when i got here. What the hell is floor 8/9???
and second thing is that when the elevator door opened, iI
still didn't know where i was. What a freaky little place.
I feel like I'm in purgatory

This is the layout of my house.
For all you engineers out there. I get the room with on the
top left, Trevis get the Top right. The actual layout is a
bit different. In the picture with the ghetto TV (which I
brought), my room is in the middle door, Trevis is on the
left and the washrooms is on the right. The ghetto TV is older
then I know. It was just in my basement since the beginning
of time. There are no buttons on it, only knobs. And it only
goes up to channel 13. But thanks to the miracle of technology,
I have a cable box. Therefore I have more than just 13 channels.
Ooh Food TV.

This is our fridge.
Its lovely might I say. It holds food and keeps it cold. Enough
with the formalities. It's got fridge magnets! Ooh! Gift from
God I say. It's just that we don't have all the letters of
the alphabet. In fact we don't even have all the vowels. So
placing messages takes cunning wit, visual geometry and knowledge
of L33t speak. I'm L33t and Trevis is JROZ. Give it a try.
Try to say "Trevis' gone to a bio lab"
Let's go see what Trevis' doing!

Oh no! I've caught him at a
bad time! What's he doing? Oh my god! Is he eating chilli
with a knife? Jesus H. Christ ! Is there no god? We better
leave him alone. Onward to my room.

This is my room. Asuka poster,
teddy bearz, artist mannequins and all. Look, a threating
note in picture#2. Somebody tried to take my teddy bear away!
Who could it be? That chinese writing on the bottom makes
no sense. fat white something...
Well it doesn't matter, as
you can see in picture #3, they're there lying peacefully
on my pillow.

This is the view from my window,
That's Laurier football field on the left
Waterloo Rec Hall, where I saw Treble Charger, on the right.

If you paid attention, I've
also got a storage room, which Idon't really use. Joel says
it's a great room for smoking in. I prefere not to. It's got
an even nicer view. You can see the storage room in the layout.
I made a quick crappy panaramic picture. Be grateful!
Well that pretty much is it.
I've got no more surprises. No trap doors or hidden crawlspaces.
I like it here alot. Nice view, brightly lit, not so ghetto
furniture. I'd like to thank the UW housing dept for not screwing
me and putting me in CLT. And my Aunt who bought me the digital
camera I used. And most of all I like to thank you, the viewer.
Without you this would not have been possible. Here are some
pictures from of Coco Joe the Llama at Waterloo park rolling
around. Good Night everybody.
