Yep, being sick really sucks

Yeah, I really wished I had some good food that night. Came home feeling like absolute shit. It sorta sucks, co-workers went to the Dog celebrating their new contract, which is kinda cool. Yeah, my company's gonna be hiring about 15 new people in the next month of so apparently. From a company of 10 to a company of 25 in a span of a month. Pretty crazy huh. Yeah. I might have to train these new guys.

Well I sorta know why I got sick. I come back from work daily at like 7, do some music stuff, eat, mroe music stuff, and sleep at like 2am... 6 hours of sleep just isnt enough. Think the lack of sleep part really fucked me over.

But yeah, been doing way too much music stuff. It's definiltey paying off though I think. Hoping to be making a tune with one of the guys from the radio station in a week or so. I was gonna go downtown and link up with a DJ too but I was too sick to do that. My plans for the next 2 months though is real simple: keep producing/send out demos, get new speakers (in the process of doing that already), get some collabs going, and hopefully get into DJing.

Gluttony

Well, yesterday was a good meal day by anyone's standards. For breakfast, i managed to gussy up some left of over steak, then following it i had chicken for lunch. I mistakenly left chicken marinating for 3 days. Well if that was a mistake, i've got to make more of them because that was some damn good chicken. So tender and flavourful. At that point in the day, i thought, man what a great meal day so far, how could it possibly get better?

It did. For alyssa's birthday we (me, alyssa and her parents) went out to a nice restaurant name Sole(accent on the e). When i said that there are no nice places to eat in waterloo, i was wrong. Of course i can't eat there all the time, if i did, i'd just put my self in the poor house. I had a Steak Croustini, and boy was it good. (FYI croustini is when they put cripsy bread under the steak) It's a shame that Backstab couldn't make it. He came home from work sick.

For days with excellent meals like this, i'd like to present it with "The Polaris Prime Culinary Award" for a day with such excellent standards in meals. (If anyone's wondering, I give out awards to who[or what] i damn well want to. ) Congrats Febuary 21 on winning such a prestigious and made up award.

On a side note, Happy Birthday Alyssa.

When one knee goes...

First of all, I don't think my computer has the worm/virus, cuz all of my email accounts pretty much don't have any contacts in the address book. Since I don't use e-mail much, I choose to keep it clean for that purpose.
Not to mention the computer I'm using right now is my Waterloo comp, since something happened a little while ago and my dad fuxored the Toronto comp... either by dropping a static charge onto it, or putting a drive larger than the BIOS could handle (known problem), or something else.... but it's been dead for a few weeks.

Stuff that happened today: busy Friday at work, people were being bitches. I was tired from not enuf sleep, and I was being nice during the subway ride home, so i was falling asleep standing. Blanked out for a second while holding onto the handbar, and my knee buckled under me. I recall shutting my eyes for that fraction of time, then opening them, realizing I'm falling, and quickly getting myself back upright. I must've fallen less than a foot. Weird stuff. People that saw might've been thinking "What the heck?" Damn, I'm tired...

Saturday Cancelled?

Got a message from Alyssa saying that lots of people can't make it so she's gonna call it off and do it another time. I'm protected by Norton 2002 and my computer is fine, so not I.

Who's got the virus?

Stupid IE crashed and deleted my post. Anyway, I think one of you might have a virus/worm. I've been getting a whole bunch of junk mail with virus attachments lately and I believe one of you might be infected. My last one was from a person named "m2tsang"... which of course is Guru, but obviously it's not him. Yeah so I think one of you might be infected with a worm/virus... and it stole your outlook address book and now it's causing some ruckus. I'm just pissed because I hate opening junk mails with viruses in them.

Anyhow, when are you guys coming up. I need to know.

Finally something good this week!

I haven't been feeling a lot of drum and bass until this week when I heard a whole bunch good tunes.

Of those good tunes, they are:
Hive and Echo - Death Valley
- holy holy shit was my reaction to this tune... I have to say this tune has the darkest soundscape EVER), the entire EP was impressive.
The Militia (aka Stakka, Friction, Skinny, K.Tee)
- Brainwash (been waiting for this one for a year and finally came out. What can I say
Chris SU - Undying (Remix)
- another good song with a very very well done bassline in my opinion and nice opera samples in the background
Fresh - Switch/Without You
- worth mentioning... I think this is much better than anything from Bad Company last year. But still not extremely strong.
Sonic - Love Came In
- sorry but this was one of those tunes that were stuck in my head while playing MOO2, so automatically it becomes a good tune.

Oh yeah btw, the answer to the sample "Scratch underneath the surface.." is "Resolution" by Keaton and Hive.

Daredevil and Captain America

I saw Daredevil (2003) and Captain America (1980s?) yesterday.

Daredevil was... it could've been worse as Guru said it.

Captain America was pretty hilarious. Maybe it's because it made no sense.

I still find it funny that Etheral is going to church.

KFC still gives me some nice itis.

the one question geek test

when i heard this, i thought of you guys... since most of you are =hardcore= programmers [are you?] and you'd get it. i did not. and the fact that i really need to work on my c++ skills before the summer remains.

A one-question geek test. If you get the joke, you're a geek: Seen on a California license plate on a VW Beetle: FEATURE

have a nice week! [you know... this 9 to 5 lifestyle isn't so bad. it's nice, at least now whilst i'm still at the "entrylevel" position, when i leave work, i actually leave work. my boss on the other hand has nightmares about where he placed the sewer on his designs and occasionally has to write stuff down at night so he can fix things in the morning. the life of an engineer.]
