Well thank you captian obvious!

Waterloo has plenty of problems, i'll stick to the low blows and just compare how UGLY it is. I thought Waterloo was ugly, but acceptable. Not anymore everyone. I think i can consider waterloo to be unesscessarly ugly because today i was just at UBC. Now, I just drove around campus mind you. UBC looks so much nicer. I mean UBC is older than Waterloo, but still it is so much better. All their buildings look better. Liston's right, Ontario sucks. It's time for all of us to uproot and move to BC.

I did alot of walking today, i walked all over most of downtown van city. It's pretty cool here. As usual, the weather is nice and the view is great. One this i like more about Van city is that it's clean. Toronto is so dirty compared to Vancouver. If you compare T.O. chinatown to Vancouver chinatown, the difference is almost immesurable. My travels are kind of haphazzard. My family keeps wanting to know my plans or specifics in my day. Unfortunatly i can't give them any. My cousin didn't understand this all at first. She asked, "So, where do you want to go?" Of course my answer was "Thatta way!" At first, she just assumed i knew where i was going, then eventually i just ended up heading out of the main downtown area, so she started questioning my motives. Eventually she caught on to the fact that i didn't know where the fuck i was going. Needless to say, i recieved some dirty looks from her.

Tomorrow, i'm being forced to go on a planned trip, to planned places. Some how i have to sneak in some destinations of my choice. Namely, another haphazzard nickel walking tour of UBC. Then I should also visit kitslano, which is a beach that looked quite appealing. I think in the future, i need to travel alone. Also i figured out something else. Vancouver is held together loosely by gelato shops, sushi restaurants and coffee shops, mainly starbucks. Every where i turned there is one of the three stores i named above. I'm also told that Seattle is similar, but it has more coffee shops.

Me: So Ann, what do the cool kids like to do in vancouver?
Ann: Oh, all the cool kids like to hang out with their cousins!
Me: Oh really!
Ann: Seriously though, you would have to ask one of them.
Me: and how would i manage to identify one of these "cool kids"?
Ann: Well they all wear tee shirts and they say "cool" in the front and "kids" on the back.
Me: Wow! but i don't see any...
And i haven't seen any since, i'm beginning to think she was lying to me...

Time for more sea, sand and a shower. Not in that order mind you.

Being ghetto and chinese, we decided we were too cheap to pay for parking and ended up driving back and forth along the falls, taking pictures out the car window.

Just got back from Buffalo/Niagra, I hafta say the trip was amazing!

First we went to Niagra Falls Canada and we were gonna go and take some pictures by the falls, but we couldn't find any parking so we went to Casino Niagra instead. Stella and I ended up losing around 7 dollars each on the slot machines, but Jon managed to win 35$ Canadian! We then walked around Niagra for a while and found an "Award winning Italian Restaurant", so we decided to try it. I had spaghetti and meatballs, Stella had gnocchi, and Jon had canneloni. The food wasn't great, but whatever, you win some you lose some. We then decided to cross the border, so we followed signs and ended up crossing the Peace bridge into the good ol' US of A. We were now in Buffalo and we needed to find a place to stay, so we drove around the outskirts of Buffalo for a while and found out that Buffalo is actually a pretty ugly and scary place. We decided to pull over to the side and consult our map and decided to head over to the US's Niagra region. Here we found a whole strip of motels, hotels, inns and restaurants and got to work trying to find a place to stay. We must have stopped at over 20 hotels and they were all sold out. After driving around for nearly 2 hours, we came across a 3 star hotel called "The Clarion Hotel" and managed to get a room for 109$ US. We brought our stuff to our rooms, settled in, and then decided to go chill with some Americans. We went down to the hotels pub and found a huge group of people partying in there. There was a small band consisting of 2 guys that played some pretty sweet music, and Jon and I proceeded to spend 30$ Canadian each buying drinks. I got pretty buzzed and after the party, we explored the hotel and found a ghetto arcade. We didn't play any games, but went to sleep instead.

The next day we woke up and visited the Niagra Falls Prime Outlet Mall. Jon and I both bought a pair of Oakleys and some clothes from the outlet. We then went to the Walden Galleria which was a bigger mall and did some shopping there. While there, we found a shop that was having a huge grand opening sale. Everything in the store was 8$ US including t-shirts, sweatshirts, pants (of all sorts), down jackets, boots, shoes, etc. I ended up buying two shirts, but Stella and Jon didn't like the stuff too much, so they passed. While shopping, one of the cashiers told us about a Jazz festival that was going on in Lewiston, so after shopping we headed for Lewiston. We got there at around 7:30 pm and found out that the jazz festival was earlier in the day and that we had missed most of it. So we cut our losses and decided to head for the Senneca Casino instead. Man, the Americans know how to build a casino! The Senneca Casino was 100x better than Casino Niagra. Anywho, Stella and I ended up breaking even, and Jon lost 20 dollars. I then went and played 2 games of black jack and I won 20 dollars US. We then headed back to the hotel, but we hadn't eaten dinner yet, so we stopped by one of the local pizza parlors and ate one of the greasiest pizza's ever made. It was getting close to around 1am by this time and we were all feeling thirsty because we didn't have anything to drink. So we decided to go to the local 7-Eleven to buy some water. When we got there however, Stella and Jon noticed that they sold beer and decided to buy 2 huge-ass bottles of Labatt Ice. I was still hungry so we drove over to Denny's and I picked up a hamburger meal. We ended up getting back to the hotel at around 2:30am and proceeded to eat, drink, and gamble like there was no tomorrow. I dared Jon to drink a cup of water mixed with 5 packages of artificial whitener, and being Jon, he accepted and did it. It was extremely disgusting.

Anyways, we got to bed at around 4am and woke up at 10 in order to check out. We headed back over to the Walden Galleria and did some more shopping. This time Stella bought something and afterwards, we headed over to Senneca Casino again. I had to go to the bathroom so I told Stella and Jon to wait for me. When I came out, I found out that Jon had lost 20$ again. Stella and I headed over to the black jack table and I ended up winning another 20$ and Stella won 25$. We then crossed back over the border and wanted to take a few pictures of Niagra falls, but being ghetto and chinese, we decided we were too cheap to pay for parking and ended up driving back and forth past the falls, taking pictures out the car window. By this time we were all pretty tired, so we headed back to richmondhill, ate dinner at congee wong, and then headed home.

What a trip, we've decided to maybe head for New York City or Nevada next time, if anyone is interested.

Madden 2004

I got Madden 2004 last week on PC and I'm pretty impressed so far. Tons of new features including some sick animations, play editor, owner mode. Gameplay has also been updated, as you can change receiver routes and blocking during the middle of a play but unfortunately you need an analog controller for this and I don't have one. I love the fact that you can challenge plays now... so if you think the ref made a bad call on a fumble you can challenge it.

I've been pretty lazy as of late hence the no posts.... no school is seriously good times, boh.
