Sick
I've been sick since Monday as well, but I've made almost a full recovery. The occasional cough and runny nose here and there, but that's about it.
In Octoberfest news, the tickets are sold out for the place I wanted to go, so I need to know what you guys want. Either I can buy tickets for another place, or we can just buy a shitload of beer and sausages and have our own party. We can play some Dave Matthews in the background or something to add to the atmosphere. So let me know!

Get your Thanksgiving On
Terribly lame title, but yes, it does seem to fit the occasion. What I would like to comment on is The White Stripes. I think they are a kick ass band, but I wouldn't call them over or underrated. I mean they just make good music and people found them. I was watching an interview with the lead singer and he said, The White Strips won't be forever, he knows that there is only so many things you can do with a guitar and drum combination. I liked their stuff before that comment, but I think that comment put them above the top for me.
The White Stripes, awesome band, not over or underrated.
On the underrated list, I'd like to add,
live
hawksley workman
the smiths (in North America anyways, but they are dead, but who cares)
and sublime (lead singers dead too).
On the overrated list, I'd like to underline nickelback, and add
Creed
Zwan (Billy Corgan's new band)
The Music
The Ataris
Audioslave (Their good, I just happen to like Rage Against the Machine better)
A band, I'm not too sure about is The Streets, it's band in the UK, it's not bad, but I'm not sure what to make of them. G, maybe you've heard more about them and their music.
I'm sick, so if i attend any thanksgiving related events, i won't be drinking or eating much. FYI, stats 231 is going to fuck me seven ways from sunday. Wish me luck!

Thanksgiving Dinner
What are you guys doing for thanksgiving dinner on the 11'th? If you're not doing anything, come to Susan's, she's having a party at her house. Christine sent an e-mail around, but I'm not sure how many of you got it.

Our Lady Peace
Their new stuff is pretty bad comparing to their older stuff, that Innocent song is probably the most "boring" song that they have ever done. I'm not sure why but their older stuff like "Superman's Dead" and "One Man Army" etc. are much more complex and are actually somewhat memorable. They were underrated before but now they are a bit overrated.
agreed 100% that Dave Matthews is underrated!

Hmm, I agree with the Sam Roberts being overrated, but I think Our Lady Peace deserves the airtime they get. Don't know anything about White Stripes, so can't say anything there.

Rock bands that are overrated and underrated
Even though I don't really care for this "genre" anymore, I've been listening to EDGE a lot lately... so I'm just saying this based on the amount of airplay bands are getting.
