Chicken'n'Fixens
As usual, i left Stew's house at yet another ungodly hour. I think it was around 7 am. My Sunday, suffice it to say, was already over. I was playing texas hold'em from 12ish to 7am. I lost 10 dollars, but only because i was tired an no longer making coherent descisions. I also don't think the fever i had was helping either.
On the ride back, Randy said to me, "you know what i could go for? Fried Chicken"
Nick: where are we going to get fired chicken at this hour?
Me: Popeyes?
Nick: I don't think any fried chicken place is open at this time.
Me: Well we can just go there and put our faces on the glass until they open. The only person there will probably be the guy cleaning the frying vats for today. He'd probably think, "wtf? Do those three idiots want KFC at 7 am?" It doesn't really matter because i don't think my body can handle fired chicken at this moment.
I really thought that if i ate KFC right now, i'd be doing more damage to my body an a year's worth of smoking and heavy drinking
Of course i drove everyone home and nearly passed out while driving a couple of times. Mental Note: Crash for 30 at Randy's next time to avoid road collisions. I managed to crawl upstairs, tell my mom i'm home and not to wake me for the next little while. I woke up at 6pm Sunday feeling like shit still. My parents tell me there is food downstairs and to hurry up because we need to get you back to Guelph. I head downstairs and smell something very familar. I walk into the kitchen only to find a lone bucket of KFC on the counter.
I distinctly remember groaning very loudly and cursing under my breath. There clearly is no fighting it, Destiny decreed that i must eat KFC today. I ate three pieces and made my way back to Guelph. I think i'm going to swear off fried chicken for the next little while.
