Thank You
It's been a really weird week for me, mostly because of the whole cafe incident, but I gotta say thanks to everyone. A lot of people have expressed their own outrage, and I know there are a lot more who were just as pissed off, and weren't able to voice it to me. Thanks. It means a lot to know that my friends, get upset as much as maybe even moreso than myself over this whole thing. I gotta say it's one of the best feelings I've ever had. It's been kinda hard to stay pissed off about the whole thing when I cant help but smile everytime one of you shares their opinion. Once again thanks.

Racial Segregation
Even in waterloo, there are always packs of Asian people that only play basketball with others Asians (probably because most of them are half the size of the white, brown and black people).
In terms of a business decision, it sort of makes sense in some scenario's. For example, wouldn't you find it weird if you walked into a Dim Sum restaurant and white people were serving you food? Or if I wanted to eat traditional Indian food and I walked into two restaurants, one with an Indian cook and one with an Inuit cook, I would probably eat in the restaurant with the Indian cook just because psychologically (sp?), I would feel that he is better at making Indian food (even though he may not be).
Granted it doesn't make too much sense when it comes to coffee houses, it does make sense in some scenarios. But regardless of whether it makes business sense or not, it's still against the law. So you should definately take this to the labour board Cliff because the Canadian human rights act states that you can't be discriminated by race (I think it's in the employment equity act). You can probably make a lot of money off those guys.
We hardly ever use the set of complex numbers.

It doesn't matter if he's CBC, fob or whatever. There are assholes and racists in both.
I think it's pretty clear to me that the guy's a racist. I don't understand his argument that he can get more Asian business first of all, it's a coffee house and "Asians" prefer bubble tea and karaoke (even though I hate them both).
Doesn't matter if it's a "business decision", that's racial discrimination right there. Then when he said it's your performance, he's just trying to give you bullshit excuses to try to cover the fact that he isn't a racist.
Anyway, to be honest with you I don't really like the state of Richmond Hill and Markham. The racial segragation there is huge and the unwillingnest to adept to change for the fobs aren't helping the situation. I'm not saying I'm a fob hater, but the fobs as a whole is really messing things up, I sometimes wish I never went to St. Rob's.

You're right Cliff, I was thinking of real numbers when I read natural numbers. I haven't seen the term natural numbers since the beginning of high school I think. Most of the sets we use are either integers or reals. Anyways, non-negative integers and natural numbers are the same thing I think. (Btw, did you know I also failed a calculus course).
Yes, it is 5:22 am and I can't sleep because I have a stats exam in 3 and a half hours.

and correct me if I'm wrong but Natural are the counting numbers i.e. 1,2,3,4... and Whole Numbers are Natural AND 0 so, 0,1,2,3,4... then there's integers with negative whole values, and then rational and real, but natural numbers aren't negative or decimals, and non negative integers would include 0 so you could theoretically have a 0th born child.
Although if I am wrong I do apologize, and I must list my failing of Calculus as an excuse.

Cooky Chinese People
I just read over my title and you know how if you hang around someone long enough you start to emulate them in some way? Well I've been living with a girl named Charlotte for the past four months and she always uses the word "cooky", nm.
Anyways, I believe that the reason for your bosses decision is probably because he's a fob, and I have a strong suspicion that fobs are scared of dark skinned individuals. Haven't you ever noticed that the fobs at St. Robs never had any black or brown friends? (ignoring the fact that there were only 2 black people at St.Robs) At most, they would talk to a white person, but they would never imagine being friends with a black or brown person. Strange but most likely true. I wonder why fobs are like that. I don't think the Japanese or Korean's are like that. Oh well, I guess the boycott of TPWWNSFIUACDTONP has begun.
Btw, I still think he meant non-negative integer because x-born child where x is any natural number (ie. 4.5, or -2.75) doesn't make any sense.

I Don't Often Speak but That Doesn't Mean I Can't
Well I'm back and while this post may be long enough to warrant an article, the content doesn't so you'll have to bare with me...(hmmm is that the right bear...)
Anyways, I've decided to finally say something because I finally have something to say, from today forward, my cafe shall no longer be referred to as Cliff's Cafe. I will seriously get violent if the aforementioned establishment is referred to by that name. However, if you feel you must refer to it by some kind of nickname, "The Place We Will Never Set Foot In Under Any Circumstances Due To Our Non-Agressive Protest" or TPWWNSFIUACDTONP for short is acceptable. Yeah I make jokes, but I'm dead serious about this. Hmmm, so now do I post the long version or the short version. Well, I know that if I post the short version im gonna have to explain this in greater detail the next time I see any readers, but I'll probably have to do that even if I give you the long reason...(sorry I need to vent and the stream of consciousness, is about all I can do to supress my need to penetrate my monitor with my right fist...and well that's my dominant hand)
Ok... so here goes. Until recently I've been working an average of 44 hours a week, so more or less full time at the cafe, sometimes longer, sometimes shorter. Last week my boss, asked me if it was okay to cut my hours for the week because he needed to use them towards training some new employees. So it seemed reasonable enough, and I said okay, but he told me he'd iron out the schedule and get back to me. So on Saturday, he tells me he doesn't need me all week, and to come in next Saturday. So this was kind of a shock but I figured okay whatever. A week passes, and I go to work on the following Saturday, and ask him what my schedule is for the next week. And he tells me to just come in next Saturday. So I inquired as to what was going on because I was going from 44 hours a week to 6. Wanna know what he said??? C'mon ask me? Well before I continue let me make a sidenote: Whenever something doesn't go my way, and I laugh and say "It's because I'm brown", I am being sarchastic and have faith that living where I live in this day and time, the strength of my character shines brighter than the colour of my skin. With that said, that faith has been shattered. I've encountered racism within my lifetime, but it has never bothered me this much. Its usually some stupid hick whos got the odd ignorant comment. But most other ethnicities have seen light shades of racism throughout their life and are more aware of it. So they generally refrain from blatantly reflecting that light on anyone else.
Having said that, my boss, who is a CBC, 24 years old, told me the reason I lost my hours, was because Commerce Gate is an Asian place and because I'm brown and that he believes it's affecting the business. Just another quick sidenote, 98% of the business he gets on my shift is from non-asians, this is not an exaggeration but I can't back up the number with statistics. Is this because I'm brown as he so claims? Well I've noticed that the Asians that come in order a cup of coffee and sit down for an hour, while the white people order food and other drinks. Is this a reflection of me, or of the type of establishment that I work in? I'm not even gonna answer that cuz truthfully I don't know, but were I in his shoes, it's not something I'd guess about especially when the direct result of that guess, affects how he would treat one of his employees.
I was shocked when he blurted that out, and I simply had no idea how to respond so I just stood there and absorbed it, and as it started to sink in I was ready to punch him in the face. But before my rage consumed me and I resorted to that I walked out. So now I'm pissed, but I managed to pick up a shift on Tuesday, and figured I'd have a talk with him then once I've cooled off.
So today, I decided to have that talk with him, and I didn't think it would be appropriate to have that conversation while I was working so I waited till after my shift. Probably a good idea cuz our conversation ended up being a really loud conversation. A really loud hour long conversation. So I told him that I know his intentions were not to be racist, cuz most of the time hes a good guy, but I insisted that to take that kind of actions based in any part on my race was racist. So he tried to sell his point to me again, saying that hes not racist and that its a business decision and it makes sense. Which I will admit to it is an Asian area and its not ludicrous to think that Asians would be more comfortable in a restaurant where an Asian is working. But does that mean they wont go in if a brown guy is working there by himself. Can anyone say with confidence that the reason that business is slow during the day is because Asians are too afraid to come in when they see a lone brown guy working there? I advise you not to answer that because if you agree to that statement I will punch you. But the majority of the PolarisPrime staff and quite possibly its readers are Asian so those who would agree, would be too afraid of this brown guy to respond to that. Am I starting to sound really stupid? I hope so.
So after about a half an hour, he decided to back pedal a bit, and said thats not the only reason, he says my performance as of late was slacking, I might have agreed with him but I made him explain himself and I got really offended with the way he views my work ethic. But I did manage to get him to admit that any concerns could have been dealt with if they were properly adressed. But the main concern was my race. So after another half an hour we got back to the whole race thing. He asked me what I would do if I were in his shoes and had this concern. So I told him that there was nothing to do, because any actions you take can be considered racist and I can rat him out to the labour board, or even sue him. And the reasons these options are available to me are because it is legally and ethically wrong to take any actions. And the last words I let him say were "Well looking at this from a business standpoint its right to us". And thats when I hit him over the head with a beer bottle, flipped over the table, straddled him and proceeded to open up a can of whoop ass on his now lifeless body. Okay so I didn't really do all that, what can I say I'm a reasonable guy. I grabbed my gear and I walked out.
We'll let the Ontario Human Rights Commission deal with his ass.
Also, Etheral should have woken up when Randy invited him to a UFT party, c'mon, thats as shocking to your system as jumping off a building.

Speaking of bizarre dreams
I dreamt that I got a call from Vince Leung asking if I wanted to play basketball at U of T at around 6 pm, so I said ok and I went to pick him up. For some reason, we ended up driving to the mall where we bumped into Nick, and he decided to follow us. While we were walking around the mall, we bumped into Randy and he asked if we wanted to go to a party at U of T at 2am, but we said no because we were going to play basketball. So we decided to go up the escalators and now it was me Cliff and Nick, (I guess Vince turned into Cliff) and Nick says he's gonna go to the party afterall so he leaves us and Cliff and I keep going. We get to the service stairs and the woman tells us we're not allowed to use it, but we tell her we're in a hurry and so she lets us go down. We run all the way down when we realize we forgot something. So we had to go back up. Now we're walking around the mall again and I see Andrew, and he asks if we want to play basketball (by making the double dribble motion) and we tell him about U of T so he decides to come with us. Now, I begin to think "Wow, it's really weird that there are two Andrew Chen's following me around", so I think Cliff turned into Andy Chen (one of the guys I'm living with right now) and we make our way back to the service stairs. This time, the stairs are closed though and I see the woman turning on the alarm, so we all jump in through the side window and start running down the stairs as fast as we can because we don't want to trip the alarm, and we bump into Katie Holmes who says she's lost, so we ask her to come with us. We continue to run down the stairs and I think we're going to make it but when I turn around, I see that that Andrew and Andy have stopped running and that there making out on the stairs! I yell at them "What the fuck are you doing, hurry up or we'll trigger the alarm!" but they ignore me so Katie and I continue to run down the stairs and we get to the bottom and it's pretty quiet. So I tell her to stop and I look out the window and I see that the woman in charge of the service stairs and the police are waiting outside for us. So Katie and I hide undernearth a desk and think of what to do next. Then Andy and Andrew come down the stairs and sit at the top and say something about someone taking their milk.
That dream really freaked me out, I was scared to go down the stairs to the bathroom cuz I thought I might see the Andrews making out.
I was reading an article about how a sorrority made their members lie about their physical conditions so that they could donate blood and it occured to me that sorrority and frat names are sort of stupid. "I'm a member of Alpha Malpha Falpha". "Oh, I'm a member of Omega Spaghetti and Meatballs". "Dude, I heard that Summation-X as X goes from 0 -> 20 is having a party!". Right...

For Future Reference
Top Story today, Victoria Secret Cancels Televised Fashion Show. The reason? Janet Jackson's little "wardrobe malfunction". This nipple crap has gone on far too long! Now look! We are losing our favorite televised events now. Ok fine, if you bothered to read the article, they didn't cancel due to Janet. Still, I'm kinda pissed they canceled such quality programming.
For future reference, please refrain from making any big life changing announcements when I'm dead drunk. I've been mulling over when Ephraim made his big announcement and I didn't believe him. Why? Because I was drinking quite heavily. I still feel really badly for not believing him. So, for future reference, please refrain from making any big life changing announcements when I'm drunk. The result will be disbelief. Life changing announcements include marriage, x-born child where x is any whole integer, n-sexual announcements where n is any prefix that forms a sexual preference ie trans-sexual or bi-sexual, and pretty much anything that you want to be taken seriously for. God, I still feel bad for not believing him. A thousand apologies.
If your wondering why I haven't spoken about my bizarre dream world lately, its because it's lost even more coherence. To the point where I can no longer describe them without constantly repeating the words, jarring or confusing. Oh how I wish I could go back to the day where I dreaming about x-terras and tigers. I think my brain is now officially broken.
Am I a bad influence on small children? The devil certainly doesn't think so!
