Talking Smack

I'm sure you have noticed the change, let's hope it works and never have to talk about it again.

Well, I've actually got a lot of shit to post but i never go the time. I'll try to keep it brief but full of enough of my usual bullshit filler as i can. First off, Debian is alright. Things still aren't working but nothing mission critical. Suffice it say, I'm starting to like Linux, it gives you the opportunity to mess around where you generally shouldn't mess around in an operating system. Video playback is kinda gimpy IMO, it keeps telling me that my computer is too slow. I dunno why it does that, but it does. Windows never bitched, it just crashed.

Party on the weekend was awesome. Something about having a shanty town in your living room is very appealing to the student life style. That reminds me, i've got to call that flashlight bylaw cop to see if i get another warning before he hands out a 300 dollar ticket if i have another party. Yes some form of law enforcement dropped by my party to tell us to shut it. I'm sure that the family next door called, but who wouldn't? We had some pretty kick ass speakers outside in your backyard. Whatever, i heard Return of the Mack, i got what i was looking for.

Sunday after the party was the best! First of all i did NO work. I really had alot of work to do. Secondly, work was replaced by the Chapelle Show. What did the five fingers say to the face? SLAP! That show is so god damned funny, i've been quoting it all week. Did i mention i love shanty towns?

I've been contemplating about having an EOF party. (FYI EOF = End of Finals || End of File, if your are nerdy enough). This time i'm going to pack the house. My problem is, do i have time to plan such an event, and if build it will they come? Usually after finals everyone wants leave this rat trap called waterloo, but if i put the party on the last day of finals, will people stay? It has been something I've thinking about. Oh and when i say pack da house, i mean PACK.

I had more to say, but my brain just quit. I'll probably just a follow up to this

COH Missions

Argh.... I just realized that I've been screwing up all my missions in COH. Right now I don't have a single souvenir and I'm already lvl 18. Maybe I should start reading clues and try and learn WTF is actually going on, haha.

There's also apparently a taskforce for level 15-20 to beat the Clockwork King. I wanna do that one.

And J, do you have an arc/mission to defeat some Vahz in boomtown? Apparently one of them leads to the Vahz leader guy.

I'm just getting really sick of "killing 15 *insert enemy group here*" missions :(

State of the Universe

Hey everyone whats shakin', for me "ain't nothing but the bacon" as I would say. So I'm sitting out my porch enjoying this nice Memorial day weekend, caught a couple fly-bys of F-1*'s earlier this morning, and thought I think I should do a little reflection. Well I must admit Virginia is a beautiful place, and I'm loving it down here. But it does get a little lonely down here at times. Of course I'm missing Diana and my family, but one rainy day where I don't really do that much really brings me down.

Its funny how much the weather can reflect on your attitude. Today is nice overcast at a cool 27 (man thats cold =) ), sorry for the fact your guys haven't even seen 27 degrees this month. But to be honest I think the average temperature for the month of may down here was at least 30. A couple of days it got above 35, but with a nice breeze =). Those days I try to head straight to the beach. Oh and BTW the invitation for anyone I know is extended to come down here and take a load off. Virginia Beach is a great party town, or at least it seems to be. To note its about a 14hr drive, so it would be best to take a plane (about 200 or so).

Anyways we have been playing a little City of Heroes and I have to admit, this game hasn't won me over and I probably wont play past the free month. I think I've probably looked a good 30 hrs on the game and I think I've lost the passion for it. I compare the game to FFXI. Final fantasy beats in every category I can think possible, except character look cutstimization. Big deal!! FFXI has more content, WAY MORE, nicer players or at least I can remember nicer, and you can get lost in things to do. Where COH becomes highly repitive. Now I'm not saying I'm upset I started playing it, no its been fun, but I think I just dont have fun playing anymore. Just to note how I dont always get bored of games, I logged 10 full days of gameplay in FFXI over a period of 2 months.

And J, thats a good deal on NHL 96 =) hahaha, who buys games anyways =) torrents for life.

Ridiculous Sales Pitch

I was looking at the IGN Gamestore and I saw an advertisement that reads "Memorial Day Weekend Special, Buy 1 PC game, get 1 free!"

So I click on the link and this window named "Gree PC Game" (yes, they mispelled free) comes up with the instructions. It says

---------------------------------------------------------------
STEP 1
ADD any in-stock PC game valued at $29.99 or more to your cart.

STEP 2
ADD any in-stock PC game valued at $9.99 or less to your cart. This will be your free game!

STEP 3
ENTER the coupon code IGNFREEPC into the coupon code box on your shopping cart page.
---------------------------------------------------------------

So you pretty much get NHL 1996 for free or something, how stupid.
