Rednecks are funny!
So this weekend was a very exciting one, I headed out to a coworkers Cottage/Lake House in North Carolina for the weekend. It was a beautiful place, far from a cottage. It was a 4 bedroom, 2 and 1/2 bath, place with all the amenities. The lake it was on was huge, and had some palaces on it. These places were huge with so many little details taken care of. This one place was on a cliff, was huge, had a pool up on the cliff, then had a huge beatiful winding staircase down to its enourmous boathouse, filled with 2 jetski's, a fishing boat, and a huge power boat. It must be nice to have money. =(
Anyways, there may be tonnes of beautiful places on the lake, but there is also a share of "local places" as I was told that house all the crazy rednecks in the area. The funny thing that I witnessed there was these rednecks on an old boat from the 60's pounding back beer and standing on top of thier boat with bow and arrows aimed at the water. They were harpooning a type of fish called 'Carp'. I'm not even sure it was illegal but it sure was funny watching these guys troll around looking for fish to shoot. They were there for like 2 hrs and didn't fire one arrow. What a waste of time. Anyways I'm having a great time exploring down here.
