Journalists report seeing about 100 corpses in the burned-out school gym where hundreds of students, teachers and parents were held hostage for two days in a southern Russian school. Russian troops stormed the building today and a gunbattle continues at the school.
In other news: Five hours after breaking the windows of the van to escape while one of the guards went into Burger King on Thursday, Russell Rex VanKirk was arrested just blocks away, said Helena Police Chief Troy McGee.

Just scrap Gymnastics, Diving, and all the "artistic" garbage off the Olympics
These sports are best left off for the circus. Its all objective. It's such a joke. If I have a few million dollars, I think I can just bribe all the judges, bribe the IOC, and win Canada 20 gold medals.
Why do we need crap like this when there are much better games, such as chess, Texas Holdum, Warcraft 3, CounterStrike, Brood War, FIFA 2004, Marvel vs Capcom 2 which are much more competitive, much more entertaning. At the very least, taking steroids and testosterone WON'T affect the performance of your game.

I don't understand...
"Paul Hamm, who became the first American man to win the Olympic all-round title, should not have been awarded the gold, the governing body of gymnastics (FIG) ruled last Saturday. "He (Yang) wants this very obvious misjudgement to be corrected ... that's not Paul Hamm's medal, that's his own medal," Korean delegation spokeswoman Yoo Jae-soon said on Thursday. "It is a matter of basic fairness and justice." The gymnastics federation suspended three judges for the mis-scoring and even requested Hamm to hand the medal back on Friday in a gesture of 'fairplay'. I don't really understand, how can the U.S Olympic committee say that Hamm is the legitimate winner? Were they not told that the Korean scored higher than Hamm? Do they not know how the scoring in gymnastics works? What is there to debate here? I thought it was pretty black and white... Are the americans trying to show the world that they can do anything they want and get away with stealing a gold medal from the Olympic games? Afterall, they did defy the US and wage an unjust war, so I guess anything is possible...
