Happy Early Halloween

I figured i wouldn't actually post on the 31st, so this will have to suffice.

In 1556,
not long after the Portuguese first set foot in Brazil, the Bishop Pero Fernandes Sardinha was shipwrecked on its shores and set about introducing the gospel of Christ to the native "heathens." The locals, impressed with the glorious civilization the bishop represented and eager to absorb it in its totality, promptly ate him.

I found that little nugget on wired. I think the Brazillians are on to something. I'd like everyone to take note that what i had for lunch. I ate something called, "terrifying tortellini". I felt like a jackass when the words came out of my mouth. "I'll have the terrifying tortellini please." It was good, I prefere less parmesan though.

It has also recently come to my attention and people don't know what i'm dressing up as for halloween. Not only me, but Liston as well. Christine has been quite persistant in asking Liston, then me, and i bet she asked stella to ask me as well. Hmm interesting. Well, I've decided to just get it over with and annouce it now. I'm wearing nothing but seran wrap covering my body, so that you all can clearly see that I'm nuts. (ha ha)

Happy Halloween y'all

Console Wars

Nintendo's frandchise games continue to impress me (mario, zelda, star fox and metroid) and I've recently considered getting a GC to play the new Zelda, the new Starfox and the Metroids, all of which look AMAZING. I started playing Zelda, Windwakers on Chris's GC and it reminds me a lot of Zelda, Ocarina of Time which was also a very very good game. F-Zero (SNES) is one of my all time favorite games, but I was very disappointed with the newer versions of it on both the GBA and GC.

For the PS2, Final Fantasy X2 (not X-2) looks pretty promising, Grand Turismo 4 will be out soon, and the Onimusha series, the GTA series and the Metal Gear Solid series (although personally I'm not a fan of the GTA series) were great games as well. Let's not forget that the PS2 can also be used to play the entire PS library which includes FF7, FF8, FF9, Chrono Cross, The Legend of Mana, etc and that FFX1 is only available on the PS2 (in terms of consoles). The PS2's DVD formatted games are also able to hold more information than a GC disk (my madden can do things that Randy's can't) and the PS2 be used as a DVD player. I also like the PS2 controller better, it has more buttons and is more intuitive (in my opinion).

Xbox has Halo, Halo2, and XBox live. The XBox can do things that neither the PS2 nor GC can do which might be a selling point to some. I've considered buying an Xbox just to play Halo2 because I'm pretty sure it's going to be one of the best shooters ever.

In the end, I'm quite content with my PS2 (i've had some good times playing GT3, FFX, Onimusha, Shadow Hearts, EA Sports galore, etc),
I'm definately going to pick up FFX2 and Grand Turismo 4 when they come out.

Weird Draft Dream!?

Yep yep, last night I dreamed that we were drafting players for the yahoo pool. For some reason, Stef, Jonathan, George and Nick were participating in the draft even though I know they don't really care for basketball. Anyways, the weird thing is that for some reason when I chose a play and clicked "Accept", it kept saying I pressed the wrong button so instead of Kevin Garnett, I drafted "Old Man". Instead of Shaq, I drafted "Mr. Bean". I got pissed off so I asked if it would be alright to restart the draft and everyone said alright, but it turns out we were in a portable in the middle of a snow storm and Randy wasn't there, so we had to go home to redo the draft. The next thing I know we've piled into Stella's car (me, Stef, Nick, George and Jon) and we're driving through all this snow. Stella then pulls onto the street... into the same lane as a huge snowplow! We suggest that she either speed up to pass it, or slow down to let it past, but she refuses and insists of driving next to it. We head down the highway and realize that there are no exists, so we just keep driving and driving... then I either woke up or changed dreams.

I wonder what it all means O_o

Newest LOTR merchandise

Hobbits do exist! LOTR fan rejoice a prospect of owning the greatest LOTR merchandise ever, your very own hobbit. Well sort of.

In other news, I now own a set of Nintendo Bongo drums. I also still lack a gamecube. But Donkey Konga is one seriously wicked game to get ripped and play. The GC is one serious party machine, but it's kind of useless in all other console respects. I mean c'mon, warioware, crystal chronicles and now Donkey Konga? Hell, i haven't even mentioned Double Dash, which i think is pretty fricken good for MARIO KART standards. I don't want to own a GC, but all signs point to 'yes'. fuckin' Nintendo.

Me and Ephraim believe that GBA needs a FF6 re-release. Including the glitches i might add. Vanish, doom or Vanish, X-zone, and sketch everything in site. Now that is something i'd buy, possibly even two. You know just as a back up precaution.

Jazzed up on Coffee and Linkin Park, this day of programming shall be very interesting.

NOTHING TO LOSE.... WHY NOT?????

Yes, yes, oh yes!! Not since madden '96 have a I seen so many trick plays!! The dolphins winless in 5 had nothing to lose going into Sundays game against the St. Louis rams. Lets take a look at the game plan fot that Sunday game. Dolphins at 4th and 15, fake punt and up the middle? How about 4th and inches? The good old quarter back sneak, 3 and 10? hand off on a reverse, and then throw it deep sounds like a plan. Everything that you shouldn't do in a football game they did, and what is the reward????? Dolphins win!!!!!!

What happened in the Atlanta and KC game? Did anyone watch that game? It was pretty much the same play over and over. Lets take the ball and run with it, note to Atlanta...Stop the run! 8 rushing touchdowns, now that is not right. You know who's going to get the ball stop Homles you know his number. For the love of god!!

Jackonville and Indy, Just when you were thinking that Indy was the real deal Jackonville shows up and hands them a new one. That game hurt but what hurts even more is that Jacksonville now takes the lead in the AFC South. Jackonville triva for you...did you know that Jacksonville has won the last 4 games in the last 5 mins of the game????

Right here, Right now.....

Total Annihilation

In a crushing 56-10 defeat, the Falcons gave up 8 rushing touchdowns (which I think is some kind of NFL record) to Mr. Holmes. Way to go Falcons!

Poll: Which quarterback(s) do you enjoy watching get sacked? For me, it's:
1) Peyton Manning
2) Drew Bledsoe
