There's something wrong with the world today, I don't know what it is...

The world is slow to react to the hunger famine in Niger.

American civilians are sniping (which I must admit is pretty funny) at relief workers in New Orleans. President Bush springs into action only after being accused of ignoring the people in New Orleans because they're poor and black.

Fuckin children in England eat nothing but fuckin burgers and pizza because they're spoiled asswipes and will probably develop severe health problems in the near future.

1000 Iraqi's killed on their holy day because rumours of a suicide bomber in the crowd sparks a stampede.

Cholera is ripping through west Africa and has striken at least 31,000 people.

I and millions of others are sitting in air conditioned homes reading these stories out of curiosity and not out of concern. Should we care about these people? Is there something wrong with me if I don't? If I could spend $10,000 to save 10,000 lives or use it to buy a new plasma TV, is it wrong that I much would rather buy the TV then save 10,000 people?
