WoW
Uggh, hopefully this will be my last WoW related post here.
One of the biggest problems with Warcraft is that I hate the theme of the game. I was never a fan of elves and dwarves... personally I find them kind of stupid. I can't relate to a dwarf, or an orc.
Another problem with WoW is that after level 60, most of your time consists of trying to find an uber ring off a 1% drop of some giant lizard in a 3 hour dungeon, in which you get wiped, repeatedly. I don't like the feeling that I can't progress my character any further, and the only way to do that is to get uber gear, which I find intolerable.
The persistant universe gave way to some really fun pvp, but when I think about it, guild wars pvp is vastly superior. I never got a rush in WoW like the ones I get when doing GW arena. PvE must be done in groups level 52+. I like to do my own thing.
I generally don't like the WoW community. It's pretty hostile in comparison to other online games.
I heard ZG was amazing from the WoW exiles on EVE, but when I looked at this new expansion for WoW, I just laughed. Elves for Horde? The only reason they did that is a lot of people's "need" to be a goddamn elf, on both sides of the war. Level 70? Not impressed. But of course to remain competitve in WoW you need that expansion. $40 US. Meanwhile, content is constantly being added to Matrix Online and EVE all the time, for free. It is implied that when you pay a monthly fee, you should be getting new content all the time. This is not the case with the way Blizzard is going. Personally, I think we should demand better.
