No More School
So I'm done school. It certainly doesn't feel like it.
Anyway, I have 2 months off and I'm unsure about my plans for these months.

The PLAY! concert at The Hummingbird Centre will feature award-winning music from titles such as FINAL FANTASY (R), SILENT HILL (R), BATTLEFIELD 1942 (TM), METAL GEAR SOLID (R), WORLD OF WARCRAFT (R), SONIC THE HEDGEHOG (R), THE ELDER SCROLLS (R) III: MORROWIND (TM), SHENMUE (TM) and many others. Outstanding graphics on large screens above the orchestra accompany the scores, highlighting memorable moments from the video games.

I was thinking of going to this, but I think it would be a scary bunch who would attend this kind of thing. Malnourished pale asian kids raving about listening to the Stormwind theme song.
I wonder if they'll play the Leeroy video, that's a "memorable" moment.
Tickets are $60-$120??? Songs from BF1942??? Live orchestral music has sunk to a new low.

Wanna know something gross?
Someone living in our house spilled oil all over the stove so that when you turn an element on, it burns the oil and makes the entire kitchen smokey.
Now Nick and I haven't cooked for a really long time (until today when I made an instant noodle), Ryan has been away for the past week so it wasn't him and I saw Mike bring home a box of something last night. I wonder who the asshole is...

Worst Recipe Ever

TOPIC: Poached Shrimp DEMO #: 2
Quantity Ingredients
3 pieces Shrimp, 16-20 count, cleaned and deveined
5 ml. Water
.5 pieces Vanilla Bean, split
450 g. Unsalted Butter, cold, diced
Salt and Pepper - to taste
1.Peel and de-vein shrimp, remove tails
2.Boil water with the split vanilla bean, remove bean
3.Add small pieces of cold butter to vanilla infused water while whisking
4.Add shrimp and remove from heat, allow 20 minutes to poach shrimp

Basically this is 1 pound of vanilla flavoured butter, melted. Then take shrimp and allow them to sit in this lukewarm mixture, off the heat, for 20 minutes. Yes, I made this in lab. No, it didn't work.
